Default engine question.

i have a 91 crx si, and im planning on doing some work to it in the near future. i have a couple of questions and id like some sugestions.
1.do you think its worth spending my money to do work to the stock si engine?

2.is an h22 too heavy for a crx, and do you think it would be a reliable car as a daily driver?

3. would an 95 integra ls motor be a better swap?
thanks for helping me out.

I wouldn't waste time with the stock motor, the H22 will fit.. but it will take more money and modification...

LS Swaps are simple, and not as expensive.. do a search on it.

Welcome to H-T, BTW

if its your daily driver i would say just use the stock engine i mean you don't need to go mach 3 from home to work and a d series will be a good motor to learn on (granted this is ur first) the h22 will be a bitch and even an advanced swapper might have problems witht the fabrication required, as far as the ls goes i'm not to up to par on ls swaps just never really read about them...i have heard there pretty ****** cool tho

the D motor will be just as fun as a B so dont let the haters throw in their unfounded opinions.
a little dough into a d series will be really fun till your cash flow exceeds your imagination, and you are bored.
dont go blow the bank acount on a 300whp B and figure out that the car cant handle it. either way you have a blank canvas use your imagination and be paitient

your right about spending my money and then realizing the car cant handle it. but i think it will ahndle 250hp, thats my goal... just need to find the right engine. well i would keep the stck motor in it. but i started another little project.... i fabricated a frame for a gokart n well, thats where this D-series is going. i cant wait to finish it when its done ill post some pictures... it will be a little while though, probably by x-mas time. i got lot of work to do... thanx for ur opiniont
