I know there are gagillion posts on this topic but I really need some specific experience and just plain good advice. Ok so ya got the h swap or turbo the f. Well i know very well the up and downsides of both thats not why i am posting. Heres my problem my car has 110000 miles on a 5speed coupe. The engine runs very strong however my tranny grinds 3rd and reverse and rarely 2nd. So I had decided to go ahead with the h22 cause it would extend the life of the car as well as good reliablity. Nevertheless I am on a budget and everything included a full swap would be 3500 atleast with lsd and installation. So heres what I need help on if i get the tranny worked on and back in perfect shape, do you guys really thing that this old of a car can handgle a 8-9psi turbo setup? I really want to do the right thing and Im just concerned that turboing a car with 110000 miles is just like asking for disaster. I really need u guys more than ever on this one any comments thanks a bunch and thanks again.
You can buy one from a junkyard if there are any local ones around you.

I took this from cb7tuner.com He has a turbo f22a6 runnin 8PSI boost.
Before turbo'ing id check the engine condition like what iam7head said.

its running fantastic, it was lightly driven for the 60,000 and I have driven in a bit more aggressively since but always maintance done on time all the time oil changed at 3000 on the dot every time. Its feels great. Tranny only grinds alot in when trying to go in reverse and every now and then when going into third and thats about it so its not really bad. I would not do the tranny work myself but i do work at Acura so I could get a great deal and I have many friends that own shops.
let's break it down for joo..
option A)h22 lsd and call it a day
pro: solid durable motor, low mileage, LSD eqipped
con: 50hp up but it's still not exactly fast
option B)F22 motor with rebuilt transmission with low boost
pro: cost effective, faster than a h22 with bolt on for sure.
con: you'll hate yourself if the motor take a dump on your later down the line, now you have to take all motor out and do everything again, which cost your money and worst of all, down time. no lsd for the f series
option C)rebuilt both motor and trans and 10+psi boost
Pro: turbo+internal work=power
con: the most expensive route, expensive if you don't konw how to rebuilt a motor. no lsd for the f series
option d)buying a f22 motor with 5speed from junkyard with low boost
Pro:sh-tload of accord laying around, dirtcheap motor
con:no lsd, limited to low boost due to stock internal.
if you ask me, option d or c sounds best to me, but i have no idea how big you want your dyno be. GOOD LUCK

well I think Ill be fine as long as a get the tranny situation taken care of. Problem is thatll require taking it apart which is some money and I still have no clue on how much it would be to fix it. Secondly I am only looking for 210-220 at the crank.
Since you only want 200-210 at the crank then H22A would be easiest route. My bad i just read your sn and you got a 97 lol my bad i sent you a 4gen site.
