Default help with tranny fliud!

so i went to change the fluid in my tranny (89 dx cable tranny). the fill bolt wouldnt budge, so i undid the drain and drained everything. i tried filling through the breather on the top by the reverse sensor, but that was super slow (its a really small hole). so i took out the vss and tried putting my funnel in there, but now NOTHING is going into the tranny.

how the hell do i get the fluid to go in there?
please help! my car is stuck with a funnel in it!

try to get the fill plug open, it should be a 17 i think, put a pipe on it if you have to it should come off quite easily though

Pull the starter off. There's a 3/4" bolt that you can remove and drop some fluid in if your out of options. I actually find it easier to fill this way, but I'm just wierd I guess.

i tried the bar on the fill bolt...not doing anything. the bolt just started to strip itself.

the car is back on the ground now, and my question is this:

why wouldnt the oil flow freely into the tranny if i pour it into the breather hole or the cable vss mountpoint?

The tranny fluid should fill through the VSS. I use the fill plug on the side of the tranny, and if I want to overfill a bit I put it in the VSS hole. Works for me.

Make sure you are useing a 6 Point wrench it will not strip as easy as a 12 Point!
