Default Motor Mount fill?

Has anyone ever tried filling their rear motor mount with silicon or something? I saw an article in Option about it before. I don't want to run the ES inserts on the rear anymore. They make the damn mounts brake faster.

Thanks DA9-hari

Is there a certain kind or brand of polyurethane I should buy?

Also how did you keep the polyurethane in the mount during curring?

The article was in Option 2 Dec. 2004

i don't remeber what brand it was, but i think i got the one for the windows. to keep the polyurethane in the mount, wrap one side with a foil, and fill it up from the other side. once it's filled up wrap the other side with foil and let it dry. it will take about 1-2 days to fully dry. good luck

I used 3M window weld on all my mounts when I did my swap. It was definately worth the $9 spent.

I'm too lazy to search rite now so, since you guys are on the subject... What kinda difference do you feel when doing this mod? Or is it mearly acting as a patch for future mount breakage?
Please excuse the motor mount noobness and lazyness.

I have the ES inserts, and so far, I like them. The car vibrates more, but who cares! That's more power put to the ground instead of rocking my motor. My motor doesn't move at all when I rev it now. Very much worth the $26 I paid for them from Shaun on here.
