Ok, here's the deal. Mr. Tran is not cooperating, so I want to warn others of his doings. I bought a set of ITR tires from this John Tran (real name Jean-Pierre), 8602 Grand Knolls Dr., Houston, TX for $200 shipped. They were advertised as 2 brand new and 2 80% tread left. Anyway, I received these today and they are CRAP!
I measured the tread and 2 have 6/32" left (so 60%), 1 has 5/32" left (50%), and the last has 4/32" left (40%) with bad camber wear. This one should have been tossed out. I'll post some pics later. No one would even come close to paying $200 for these POS tires. But I trusted this fool and now I'm out $200 and have crap to deal with.
I've tried reasoning with him to return my money, but he is unwilling. He posts on here quite a bit, so if you know him, talk some sense into him. This is one scam I'm not gonna stand for!!!!! I'm may not be in Texas, but I'm willing to come down to take care of this!!!!!

Nick, here's the problem though. Obviously he knows his stuff. He's trying to put the blame on the person whom he bought them from originally. Anyone who isn't blind can see that one of the tires has bad camber and very little tread left and should be thrown out. Instead, he says it has 80% tread left and sells it to me. That's BS!!

They are NOT crap...they were used by SwiftTypeR...two has about 80% thread left and two has nearly perfect thread left. I would say about 93-95% left. You paid $142 for four RE010 tires. Come one..you are buying USED tires..what are you expecting for $142 for four RE010 that retails $150 a piece???
You send me $200....$58 goes to UPS for shipping the tires to you... $142 - 3.9% charge by Paypal...so I got something like $135 from you.
I have sold tons of things to everyone...never scam anyone in my life!!! You expressed that you don't want the tires, wrote you back offering to take them back if you send them back to me...I'l send you the $142 back (that's the money for the tires)... the $58 is shipping fee...there is no way UPS will refund that.. I never got that money. (If you ordering stuffs from a company, returned it..you don't get shipping back anyways...just a real life senerio to clear your head). Anyways, you wrote me back and want me to send you $240 as a refund? What the **** are you thinking? Are you smoking dope?

Swift Type R sold these to me for $75...then later on, he said he has another two brand new one and will send them for $100...I took all four from him....and that was one I sold to Pete Vang. Yes, I paid $175 for these tires..sold them to you for $142.....plus s/h.
If you dont' want them, as I told you in email before...send them back and I'll send the $142 back to you...I'm tired of all your bitching emails everyday.

I agree besides the part about paypal 3.9 its more like 2.9 plus 30cents but thats minor.
These sales are my finals sales..i crashed my Integra..going to get a family car and will never buy/sell performance craps again...so really don't care about reputation and ****..but of all the 5 years I'm on various boards like these...have I EVER scam anyone? But I've been toasted many times....I bit the bullet and took the loss.. Just pissed me off when trying to sell **** for dirty cheap and get bitched upon...I'm saying the tires are not crap...the other saler whom I bought it from advertised them as 80% tread left...****, you are buying USED TIRE damn...what are you expecting? show room condition for 1/4 of the cost??? I'm fuckign tired of this ****.

Dude - not to be a dick but he is offering to give back the cost of the tires. That is 100% reasonable. You don't deserve the shipping back. It wasn't what you expected - so what. Did you get pictures beforehand? You got $600 worth of tires for $142. That is 75% off retail. If they have 60% tread then I would say you got a deal dude.

Pdiddy - when you buy something as advertised, that's what you expect. If they are advertised as brand and and 80%, that's what you expect. Not 2 at 60%, 1 at 50%, and 1 that should be thrown out. If he would have told the truth, I would not have wasted my time or money!!
As for only getting $142 back, that's bull crap. He sold them for $175. I paid $190 with a check and when he cried about shipping, I paypal'd $10 to him even before I received them. So he received $200 from me. The max paypal fee is $0.30 guys. Total amount to ship was $50, so he had to come up with $25 more bucks and not $58. But all this is irrelevant unless he is blind, has a seeing eye dog, or has a walking cane.
Anyone who isn't blind could have seen that none of the tires were brand new. So why would he say they are??? One of the tires is almost to the wear bars and has bad camber. Now, it's up to you whether or not you want to get ripped off for $200 or $100 because either way, those tires aren't much good.
