a shift boot isnt really hard to install. lets say you decide to install that suede one, all you do is unscrew the clip thats connected to the shift boot then take the staples out thats holding the shift boot and re-use the clip for the suede one. i hope that makes sense. i was thinking about using a ctr shift boot.

generally, a new boot will have to be restapled into the white plastic piece its attached to. my boot was from pspectuning, and is very taunt leather -doesnt require new staples.

when it comes down to it, you can still use the accord boot, itll just look shitty. id assume a civic or integra boot (especially a del sol) would fit the length of the accord shifter....they generally have even taller **** levers...

i would avoid a boot with yellow stitching, or any color for that matter. i dont say that cosmetically speaking either. think about it, the yellow stitching is probably used to help make it look race-car like...ya know, so itll match those black and yellow NOS floor mats. basically what im saying is that its probably made really shittly, so it can be sold cheaply to icey hot stunna in there 4spd geo metro type-R

As everyone said the boot is easy to install as stated above. If the **** is 10mm (if i remember correctly) then you can screw it onto the shifter. And as for the rectangle thing in there you can pull it out.

done! shift boot came off a 98 Honda Civic. Thanks, .Ken! I had to use the plastic bottom from the accord boot and put the civic boot's leather over that. Came out looking well.

why didnt you use the type r boot that comes with that shifter was it too expensive? its pretty nice ( the shifter) but i think you should get a boot that reaches the shift ****..

buts its nice.. i cant afford to get a cool **** like you so i made my own...

hahah watch out for the red R it means REVERSE so i remember not to shift into it from 5th.. hah

I was asking what boot people thought would fit, I finally decided the civic one would work. so .ken sold me his for dirt cheap (thanks again! )

the boot does reach the ****, but there is no way to hold it there. so when I shift it would bounce up and down hitting into my fingers; that's annoying.

so I slid it down a bit till it got stuck on the shift arm and it stays in that spot now

you can put tape of rubber bands around the shifter underneath the boot and that will hold the boot to the **** without any gaps
