Default what size turbo should i buy?

What size turbo should i put on for approx 400bhp (maybe a little more)?
I have the option of getting a cheap turbo the specs are
T4 Turbine;1.00 A/R
T3 compressor;0.42 A/R,Two stage impeller with 45 trim
When will it come on boost and for how long?

the exhaust housing is too big for a 1.8 liter.. go with something with a .63ar exhaust housing.. 54 or 57 trim t3/t4

Agree, another alternative, go SC61 AR .63 I think with this turbo u can achieve your goal with a better spool than your choice.

You can't just say SC61 for every 1.8litre motor out there. No one here even knows this person's individual setup with compression, motor, or transmission, nor do any of us know what particular characteristics are other than 400whp. You can do that with a lot of turbos that have different powerbands and characteristics

Please make sure that you know what KIND of power you're looking for. Peaky? smoother curve for more torque and acceleration? What purpose is this for? drag race, or road course? Street/strip? There are a lot of alternatives to decide.

What's your budget on this?

If you needs some assistance w/ this, please PM me. I believe I can help

Should have put down more info.
The Engine is a H22a with je pistons and eagle rods. Compression will be 9.1:1
Engine is going to be used in a k1 attack kit car.
I have got myself a turbo manifold with an external wastegate flange and t3 footprint.
Going to use the standard prelude gearbox unless i can find a 6 speed box that will fit and work well with the engine.
I want a fairly smooth curve as i will be using it for drifting, road and track. Might go on a strip occasionally but not very often.
Thanks for the replies
