ok i got a 93 DX shell... i dropped in 00 B16 and used a 94 B18b1 engine harness... there is a MAP sensor plug on the B18B enigne harness but that doesnt get used appraently because on the 93 DX the MAP sensor wiring goes directly to the ecu through the firewall and is not part of the motor harnes.... and guess what teh plug has been cut off..

i sourced another 3 wire plug but teh wires are different colors..

colors of the DX MAP wiring through the firewall is:

green with blue stripe
yellow with green stripe
pink with white stripe


colors of wires on new plug:

yellow with red stripe
green with yellow stripe
yellow wiht green stripe


i have tried every combination i can think of but i might have missed some..

is there anyone that can help please trying to sell car and want this done right no corners cut..

 

Are you going to be using the 00 B16 ECU as well? If so, you're going to need to use the plug on the B18B1 engine harness unless you run the wires seperatly. Did the engine come with a map sensor?

 

sorry i didnt clarify.. im using a obd1 P72 gsr ecu since im running a gsr head with stock manifold...


so here it goes there are the wires coming from the firewall for MAP sensor and they are:

green with blue stripe
yellow with green stripe
pink with white stripe

the plug i have i got from a 94 LS engine harness and cut it off the colors of it are:

yellow with red stripe
green with yellow stripe
yellow wiht green stripe

i cant figure out which wires from the firewall go to which wires on the new plug... since the colors dont match...


it would hepl out a lot if someone had a helms or something to tell what wires mean what on a 94 civic DX that has a separate MAP sensor wiring harness...


i know that on all other cars liks 94-01 integras the MAP sensor harness is part of the ENGINE harness.. but in this intance the 94 DX civic doesnt it has its own MAP sensor wiring harness going directly to the ECU through the firewall..

andif so can you please just take a pic of your MAP sensir wires going into the plug?? if i can just see that then thats all i need ill know which color wires go into which spot into the plug...

 

well thats the problem.. the one coming from the firewall the plug was cut off.... so i got a new plug but the colors dont match...

do you have that same exact plug?? can you take a picture of it with teh wires going into it so i can see which color wires go into the plug and the location?

 

Connector colors means that when looking at the connector (wire pointing towards you) that the way they should line up (From left to right)

D17 - D21 (sensor ground) - D19 (Sensor 5v)
