I had a generic intake (SRI) on my si, and it was such a PITA. rattled, sounded like pure rice, finish started to peel of, so annoying. make sure you get a quality no namer. I ended up spending some bills on the comptech icebox. world apart.

Some of those ebay ones come with K&N cone filters. Might want to look into them.

for the most part the piping is the same as brand name, AEM makes some really nice ones but as long as you just get a nice kn filter you should be good.

i bought a full CAI from bomzracing or someshit works fine, sounds nice, and hey its crome for $50 shipped to my house

I bought a AutoZone "rice isle" intake pipe and put a genuine K&N filter on it until i could afford an AEM cold air intake. Anything over stock is good.

I bought my intake for 15 dollars off EBay, came with a K&N Filter. Works great.

I don't see why you would spend 250 on a generic intake arm and an air filter, that's beyond me. Why not spend 50 and put the other 200 into suspension?

That's whack that you could get the intake and filter for $15. K&N filters run around $30, don't they?

I have never seen a Genuine K&N cone filter for less that $28.00 USD

so i have concluded it was probably a "K&N style" filter.

I was about to say. Damn, just buy the intake whenever you need a new filter.
