Default 5 Lug on a D-Series

Ok, I've searched and read many different how-to's and opinions on the ITR 5-lug converstion only to still have a few questions to ask.

First off, which axles do I need to run? I've been told many different things; to use the USDM ITR axles, that any b-series axles will work and that I should stay away from JDM swaps. Can someone please shed some light on which axles to use?

Secondly, can I use the stock DX brake lines in the front and back? Not necisarily the stock rubber ones but steel braided lines made for 96-00 coupes?

and finally, for swaps that don't come with any e-brake cables.... can I just use stock Civic Si e-cables? Or will I need ITR ones aswell?

The car I'm doing the swap on is a 98 Civic DX Coupe. And any help, links, answers are appreciated. Sorry for all the questions

USDM or CTR JDM 5 lugs kit will work on any D serie Engine with OEM honda D serie axles

you could still use the OEM 9.5" disk brake oil lines on the 11" ITR/CTR brakes

but on the rear you have to use the ITR/CTR lines

thank you very much for replying. I was under the impression that I needed to use b-series axles. What you said makes sense to me

Would it be best to just go ahead and upgrade the rubber lines to steel braided line? I just wonder if the difference would be that noticable.

Thanks again

Braided lines are a lot better if you plan to use your car for AutoX or lapping

for the street keep it stock

on my SI 90

with stock lines

looks good, all in all how do you like the set up? is it worth the extra weight?

Weight is the ONLY thing I'm concerned with for my coupe....

thanks again
