Default Miss shift, now Burning oil at high rpms?

So i majorly fucked up the other right and over revved my b16a i'm not sure how high exactly but at least 9k (tached out!) prob almost 10k rpms before i caught it

now i've noticed that my car is ******* burning oil at like 6k rpms and up, not that much and more kinda puffs than a smoke screen like when i blew my rings

I haven't done a compression test just yet but i expect that that it will be okay, the car still runs great but i can smell and see the oil burning which is really bad cause i'm boosted (detonation issue with oil burning).

So... you guys think i toasted some valve seals? Bent valves? The car does seem a little slower in the higher rpms than before but the same pretty much before 6k

do a compression check and if that is inconclusive, do a leak down test. if you bent valves even a little, oil may be leaking down the guides. and a bent valve will hurt your performance.

Tear apart your engine and see what gave. Something did give.

It seems like the car is tapping pretty loud at idle.. i'm going to do a compression test tonight and check the plugs. ****

sounds like a bent valve or something, pull the head and check them maybe even try a valve adjustment

I think it must be bent, because the oil burning was very slight for almost a week (prob over 200 miles)

Then when i drove it home from work it started smoking like crazy. I'm guessing the valve seat or seal finally gave out from the valve just being oh so slightly fucked?

Sound right? or maybe i toasted rings? **** i don't want to swap short blocks again, even though it would be cheaper it's so much damn work

compression test results:

160 160 70 165

****

now i'm thinking i might have blown the rings on that piston or some thing, maybe the head is fine?

Interesting was that the spark plug did not apear to be tarnished from oil burning at all...

When i had cracked rings before, the spark plug was BLACK (60psi compression in #3 THAT time)

I noticed that the oil in the head (had the valve cover off) looks kinda... sparkely. I'm afraid that it's tiny metal shaving from the blown piston or maybe it's from the bent valve?! **** i don't know it could be normal, i've never looked that closely before

So now i'm stuck cause i don't know if it's the head or the block or both (eek)

any way i can know for sure before teardown? cause i rather not buy parts that i don't need and this is my daily driver (when it's not broken) and need to have my car running by this weekend!

I think the piston ringslands are blown from not tuning with my new turbo.

I was planing on taking it easy till i tuned it but i guess i had to much fun!

**** is right. Sparkely oil is not good. Sounds like a bent valve (tapping) and it could also be the rings are shot. The low compression could also be from a bent valve not sealing and letting compression fall.

I think it's the rings because it has got a lot worse.

I would think a bent valve would cause failure right away... i think the ringlang cracked causeing minor blow by, causeing more detonation and now major failure.

Well i'm pulling the head and the piston soon enough
