Default ITR vs. Deer....

ITR:0 Deer:1....
On a drive back to my friends house with him in the car, I was going about 45-50 (in a 50mph zone) and a deer jumps out in front. Me being the idiot that I am, swerved to miss the dear and skid 200ft on the road then into grass where I spun around about 2-3 times. I brushed against a telephone pole, then landed on a bush. The car is driveable, but I will not drive it in fear of damage to the axle or making the allignment worse. I will need a new drivers side fender, side view mirror, door or door skin, driver window and a new antenna. I am sitting here with the drivers side mirror resting on my computer table which will remind me to always drive safe and sometime it's best to just hit the animal. The car should get towed to the dealer next Monday or even sooner. I will keep people posted if they want. Just all h-t.com people, please drive safe. If I were going any faster, I would have been wrapped around the pole. Drive safely!
P.S. My friend and I are both alright!

yeah.. a close encounter with Deer is like a common thing for me too..
at least twice a month..
that's why I am putting on HID and the Deer Blower..
better looks stupid than wrecking my R..

hm.. would it be better to hit the deer or avoid the deer ?
(if you hit a deer, I think you are not at fault).. but like what happened to you, will the insurance think you're at fault?
(I ask this since I had too much close encounter with deer, that I am afraid it might happen to me)... (HOPE NOT! knock on woods!)

Man, I'd rather just have some sheetmetal damage than slam head on into the deer and risk unibody damage. I think you did the right thing to swerve!

You'd be better off w/some roof mounted Hellas and a fog horn! HIDS aren't that good!
