Crazy shaking?!?!?!?
My 1992 honda accord is shaking like a mother under braking over 20 mph. i just got it checked out and i changed the shot rotors and front wheel bearings. anyone have any suggestions? need help badly. thanks alot in advance.
i would drive it and pull on e-brake and if it shakes just using e-brake you got an issue with rear rotors/drums....if rears are ok and you said you just replaced frt rotors i would chk tires, and recheck all the work you did maybe you left something loose or did not install something properly if all ok, chk frt suspensions for loosness
did you get it aligned? did u get the pads changed too? they could be uneven in wear. how long ago did you get your rotors replaced? you couldve warped them once again if you brak hard from high speed.
i just replaced the rotors and it always shaked even after i changed wheel bearings and rotors. the bearing and rotor change didnt help but i am gonna try the e brake thing. thanks alot for info guys .

You may need to have the rotors machined on the car if it's not being caused by the rear brakes.

Brand spaniking new and i just try the e brake thing but had no effect on the car the e brake stop the car smoothly.. stupid shaking doesnt want to go away. can it be the rims, tires? cuz i tryed to swap them but same thing, i bought it used by the way.

If it's only does it when braking, it's probably a brake problem. Have you checked the rotors for runout?

where did you get the new rotors at??? i have seen new cheap rotors ( autozone, checker ) have runout and cause shaking after installing and need to be machined or send back and get a new set ........like Chio says if it only shakes when braking since you just replaced rotors i would double chk installation make sure everything is tight and frt suspension for loose components if all ok, try e-brake test could be coming from rear , if rears are ok ...it is definatelly a frt rotors issue
he said he did the ebrake test.. he also says their new.. who installed them for you? maybe they didnt put them on right.. or you could have a defective pair that could alway be a posibility.. maybe you can just take them back get new ones
my mechanic put them in and i told him to double check like three times and he said everything is good. it shook before and after the new pair of rotors. did make a differnce, so i changed the bearings and no difference, and i rotated the tires all aorund and still no difference. right now i have no freinds who have 4 lug for some reason and i wanna change the tires and rims to see if the rims/ tires. becuase i have no idea what else it can be,?????????????????
