One thing for sure is you have a wiring problem, need more info, what kind of HU, what JL amp, what sub, in what kind of box, what was used for wiring the amp where in the car was the wire/cable run, are there more amps? 94

Your RCA cables are:

A) Bad
B) Grounded out
C) Pinched somewhere
D) has metal contacting 12v

Trace all wiring and make sure none is pinched or grounded out and get some different RCA's (borrow, or see if a local shop will let you use a set in the parking lot) Take out your radio and plug the rca's straight from the radio to the amp theu the middle of the car (nothing fancy) And see if it helps.

Good luck!
