Default urgent: Cluster light problem.

ok im at a friends about to drive back and its MAD dark, my cluster won't light-up but my headlights do, turn signals (the signals AND the dash indicators) light up nicely, everything seems to work.

i need this for ease of driving home

car: STOCK 1992 civic VX hatch
what i need to know: im going to start with checking the fuses, which fuse(s) controls the cluster light?

also... in the even that the fuse is fine....what else could this be caused by?

ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

Your fuse box should have a diagram of what fuse is which. If it doesnt, there are only, so many fuses. Just start pulling and looking.

if the fuse is fine, then it is prolly the bulbs, pull out the cluster and check.

you can prolly find a diagram for the fuses if you search on ht

I would check your dimmer switch. I have heard of them going bad and it cuts power to the cluster lights. Take a voltmeter and check to see if the dimmer is working.

^^^^Just do this first. Yes you can bypass the dimmer and it will always be on high. I never touch my dimmer so it's always on high.
