Default Auto to Manual Conversion ONE quick question about axles

Can you re-use the automatic CV axles or do you need special 5 speed CV axles?? Let me know, Thanks!

Put it this way. I helped with the R&D on the HCP EG-AT auto-manual mount in the EG chassis back in 2000. Eitherway, regarless with any car, you can't use the auto axles in the manual transmission - different shaft sizes.

there is no intermediate shaft on d series, its just two axles that connect directly to the tranny diff.
On the b series, there is a half shaft opr intermediate or whatever you call it

Yeah I got my question answered, I should have specified D-series. Auto and 5-speed axles for the D16Z6 are exactly the same part number and there is no intermediate shaft. Thanks tech'Ys

I've never heard of this. I'm currenty doing the swap right now, and everything I have read has told me that I can use my automatic axels. But I'm doing this on a D series.. It may be different for a B series.

I have done several auto to manual swaps. You can reuse D series axles. If you are using B series then you CANNOT reuse.

Awesome, that's what I had been reading originally.

And about the intake manifolds..

If you are OBD1 you DO NOT need to replace the intake manifold. However, if you are OBD2, you do need to replace it, due to IAVC wiring.
