I was wondering if a d16y8 head would work on my stock d15 civic ??? dose it have to be a d16z6 and if it will work will you just have to change the ecu or will you have to get a whole new wireing harness, will i be able to use a d15z6 gasket set or will i have to buy a y8 gasket set???

D16Y8 head swap would work best for a 6th gen 96-00 civic since its OBD2. And D16Z6 would be easiest for a 92-95 civic. You will have to add wires for VTEC and get a P28 ecu. You can use either Z6 or Y8 gaskets, but I heard the Y8's are better since they are metal and not all cardboard like the Z6's.
