2005 civic dx needs parts
Well i just got my 2005 civic 2 days ago new car cheep price. But now i am having some problems with finding parts only thing i have found are body and cold/short air. I need to know were i can get parts and if 2005 civic ex parts such as headers and exhaust systems will fit.
the same stuff for 01-03 civics fit the 04-05's....as far as sucking and blowing....motors are the same...same chassis, different body components...
Why not do some research and see if you can get a EX header/exhaust system to bolt onto your car. That would be a lot less of a headache and probably give you the same gains.

do a search, there is a couple of d17ers on here that have done it...</TD></TR></TABLE>
Why would you do a vtec head swap on a brand new car still under warranty? A PITA and you'll still be breathing through a crappy header with integrated cat.
Thus my point of starting with the header/exhaust first would be the best route to go. Plus...it's only a 1.7 sohc motor. How fast is it gonna get anyways?

no need in jumping in my ***...i was just stating his question..i know it doesn't amount to much, but the non-vtec head swap for the d17 actually adds better power than the ex model....
