I had coil overs on my last 5th gen, and I just have springs on my current 5th gen. Same KYB AGX on both cars. The coil overs were a bit stiffer than the Eibach springs I have now, but all in all about the same. I kinda wish I still had the coil overs, just to be able to raise the car a bit for winter, ect...

why spend money/install twice? just save up for the suspension you want the first time.

and what exactly is a "true coilover?" as far as i'm concerned every aftermarket suspension for this car is a "true coilover." unless the spring is imaginary or is lying to you...

does the spring and shock body colored with the same color paint make something a "true coilover?"

Yea man, do it right the first time. GC's and Eibach make really good springs and Eibach's are espcially good for street applications b/c its a progressive spring (meaning that each coil of the spring have a different spring rate)...which makes for a smoother ride on the street.

...i hope i explained that correctly

A lot of ppl have good things to say about the AGX's. I'd personally like to buy Koni's with Eibach's or GC's but I cant justify $500 on shocks just yet, i have other 'ish i needa do, Like an h22 swap.

i can tell you one thing....KONI'S all the way......i just bought a set and don't regret it one bit. i've had sleeve type coilovers and full coilovers and i liked both for certain things. what is ur main goal for your car? street only? Auto-X? both?

I have a 96 lude and i have kyb agx's with eibach sportline springs. i have been lookin into ground control coils. you think it would to just buy coils and get rid of my springs.

eibach pros are great with my tokico illuminas but i'd love to be able to lift the car up a bit certain times. if i had the money i'd definietly get coilovers instead.

I think it would be good to just buy Coilovers...You'll beable to adjust your height whenever you want, plus, when you order Ground Controls, they come with Eibach springs

are you seriously a dousche bag? buying shocks and springs would not be considered true coilovers? coilover sleeves such as gc, skunk2 etc would not be considered a true coilover, a true coilover would be considered a fully threaded one such as tein, apex'i, omni, d2 as well as others along those lines.
also, i dont think spendin 200 on a coilover sleeve right now is really gonna affect him later when he forks out a grand for full suspension, he can alwasy re-sell the sleeves and i highly doubt he minds reinstalling suspension twice, he loves working on his lude.

so shuv it CUUUUNTTTT

gc/koni dosent work? i'd take custom rates with sleeved gc's over ots teins anyday. they cost the same amount anyways. just because u spend more on a suspension does not make it any better.

did i say gc/koni doesnt work? of course if you replaced your shocks as well it would handle good, we are taling about just putting sleeves over stock shocks for time being till he has more money to get fully threaded coilovers or shocks and springs, right now he is lookn more to just get his prelude dropped and not as overly concerned with handling.
