Default Woohoo, Im picking up my bike tommorow.

Gave the down this afternoon, and giving him the rest in a cashiers check since the owner felt more comfortable with that type of payment.
Info on the bike:
2001 Honda Cbr F4I
Red/white ( color ive always wanted)
7500 miles
Original owner
Minor scrapes on right fairing and little on pipe.
All paper work, receipts etc even the broucher from when he bough it.
Older rider in his 40'-50's
asking 4300, then he said 4100, then he mentioned taxes at DMV so he said OK, ill give it for 4k Good deal to me since its a Bay area, and its summer. Im so happy, but i wont be riding it on major streets for a while got to get more comfortable on the bike. Got all my gear, license, MSF course passed etc. Cant wait to ride it on my court for the next weeks/months

Wow, considering Bay Area, that IS a good price. Congratulations man! Time to post up some pics when you bring that bad boy home.

Congrats man, first bike?

I just hopped on my first bike this week, and it's definately nerve racking the first few days IMO.

I did not have an enjoyable ride until the 4th-5th days to be honest, because I was so tense about other cars, my shifting technique, low speed turns, starting off at 2mph when traffic is almost stop and go, etc.

How did the MSF course prepare you? I might take it if it really helps.

Oh and I had never so much as ridden a 50cc dirtbike when I first hopped on a pal's 600 F2 to learn how to ride a bike.

MSF helped me alot. I would very highly recommend you take the class. U might fell that u dont need it, but their were others that have been riding for years and were taking the class just to finally have a license, instead of a permit, and they couldnt even pass some of the exercises. But in the end they passed, and alot of them were happy they took it, made them a more confident rider. I havent had a chance to ride the bike, since Frekin Helmet Harbor hasnt sent my helmet yet my buddy rode it home for me, but it needs a new battery wich ima get tommorow. Heres the pics
The scares from a drop he took while back.

aftermarket rear sets

Safe riding.

She's definitely a looker. Be sure to tell people to look at the left side, not the right side.

Moving out is great. But it's a huge financial burden, too. Good luck to ya bro.

Edit: bike is now in backyard, under bike cover i guess its just a parent thing, maybe tommorow he will say it can go in the garage. Hes very sarcastic, says one thing, but in reality he ment something else. Just concerned with my safety, cant blame him. Dont really wanna move out yet, wanna finish one more year in JC then maybe move out next semester
Anyone got any info on HelmetHarbor.com??? how long does it take to get a helmet from AZ. Gosh.

Helmetharbor rocks. It takes about 2-3 days to get to you after you order something. I've ordered from them in the past, and I've never been let down. New Enough (www.newenough.com) also has great stuff. And, of course, Terra Powersports (www.terra-powersports.com), my personal fav.
