90-91 Si
92-95 Civic
85-87 AE86
90-92 Miata
88-92 240SX

None of these are considered fast... but you certainly can make it very fast with some $$$.

Geo metro?
Gas mileage alone would pay for it!

No way!

90-91 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD

Quick, AWD, turbo, cheap and easy to play with if you have a few dollars lying around...

'88-'91 CRX Si Fairly quick, very nimble, great gas mileage, dependable.

If you have a bit more dough I would suggest a nice EG...then do a hybrid swap.

That's the problem with buying a beater that you'll want to mod. You'll end up with the same problems that you thought you were avoiding by buying the beater.

Just find the cheapest POS with a nice interior, cold A/C, and mechanically sound.

Initial D's star drifting car. Its a cheap rear wheel drive car. Able to make 300whp N/A (11k redline of course) also came in a supercharged and turbocharged version.

In japan its the 86 Trueno/Levin/Sprinter...HACHI-ROKU!!!

or here in the states its known as a corolla gts (85-87')

i would only get that car to hook it up like INITIAL D
that car beat everything!

do you need to carry **** or just yourself? When I thought about a second vehicle, I looked into bikes, a brand new ninja 250 is like $3000, i mean its weak for a bike, but gets 70mpg, easier to park than a car. Just a thought.
