DAMN..i was driving down a cali freeway last night, and a board was in the middle of the freeway..i didnt see it..then WHAM!! hit my front, cracked my lip, scartched it, then put 2 holes in my front bumper, scract that too, then cracked my Acura embelm in half...on top of then the piece of ply wood breaks in half, goes below my car and i hear the damn thing below it, then WHAM!! comes off from the right side and scracthes my right lower skirt..Now i have to get a underbody inspection making sure nothing got bent or f*cked up below my R...I told the shop i want a new Front Bumper and new Lip, and I told them I want Original Acura Parts..i thought about a JDM conversion, but the damage total is $2000...any other damage things i should look for...oh by the way, I HAD A GREAT DAY!!..ya right!!

Since the dmg total is $2000 already, if I were you, I would spend the extra $ and get the JDM frontend.

Hehe...welcome to the club! I had a FREAK'N semi-truck tire jack up my front end a couple weeks ago!! And...I also got hit with a metal fence pole about a year ago. That did about $3,500 in damage! I have the best luck with my R...(laughing histerically)

 

Yup, been there too. Had a piece of aluminum flashing get kicked up by the car in front of me and smack my hood, windshield and fender. Fugged it up prety good.

 

Exaclty...im broke thats the problem....by the way my deductable is $500, by Geico...Im gonna change insurance cause they dont offer me comprehensive damage...As soon as its fixed, im gonna go buy a beater....then its the garage for hibernation.

Don't change insurance companies just because of the collision vs comp issue..

They all look at this kind of impact the same.. Hit stationary object..collision

Hit moving object... comprehensive... You won't get anything better elsewhere in this regard..Just so you know..

 

actually,
collision - collision with another object thats already physically planted on the ground

comprehensive - an accidental loss not caused by collision. if an object strikes the vehicle before it hits the ground, its comprehensive(i.e. theft, vandalism, water, flood)

they're both very different in coverage, any comprehensive claim wont affect the insurance premiums, although they may non-renew your policy

i thought my right front tire blew cuz it just fell.. when the tow truck and chp arrived 3 hours later my wheel was turned out past a right angle well never figured out how it happened cuz there was no point of impact but it was almost 10k in under car damages...

Dude that's nuts! I had the exact same thing happen to me, semi in front of me blew a tire and chucked it straight at my front end...$2000 in damage. Fu**ing sucks!!
