Ghost Clutch pedal
Yes! i searched and i found some info that sounds near whats going on with my car but i wanted to hear opinons about my situation on hand, on the way back from the ocean this weekend my clutch pedal went to the floor, yes i check the fluid it, was a lil low so i filled it up...... a few miles down the road it start going to the floor and having no pedal back to a full stiff pedal and it has done that contiuously for the last couples days and last nght i got in and there was no fluid in the clutch fluid area nor was there any clutch pedal...
...? mind you i have a ACT cluth and preasure plate flywheel, if that would have to do anything with it and i just got the M2B4 LSD put in, so if anyone could let me knwo if they had this wit thier car let me know what i need cause im taking to a honda dealer tonight, man is my wallet every gonna get ate!

yea, if that doesn't work bleed the clutch system. If it still happnes, it could be a clutch master cylinder going bad. If you dont see any fluid loss, and still no clutch pedal after bleeding, its most likely time to rebuild it.

look for fluid running down under the dash behind your clutch pedal. If you see fluid there, it's time for a new CMC. If not, just bleed the clutch.

I had a bad clutch MC and it was leaking fluid into my car. I maintained the fluid pretty well... tend to loose more during the summer than the winter. However, when the fluid got really low I didn't really loose too much pressure in the clutch pedal as much as I lost the ability to clutch normally. Basically the clutch wouldn't engage until the pedal was as far as it could go.
I dunno, maybe if I lost more fluid it would have just dropped to the floor. Check for leaking near where the metal tubing goes between the Clutch MC and the Clutch SC.
My leak was definetely at the Clutch MC though. There is a little circular gasket cap where the arm that connects to the pedal goes into. There was a tear in that gasket and it was leaking out of there... probably a tiny bit every time I used the clutch. Worth a check.

Check for leaks at your slave cylinder also, but if your gonna replace the slave or the master do em both at the same time
Do it your self; the parts are not to expensive.....and bleeding the clutch system will learn ya good
it takes a long time, unless your a smart one and get some fluid going in them before you put them on the car (the cylinders that is)

I agree. Remanufactured clutch master and slave cylinders are relitivley inexpensive from any auto parts store, and are prone to failure on Preludes as they age. This is a VERY frequent problem (as is a leaky brake master cylinder). The install really isn't that hard (easier than the brake cylinder), especially if you have access to a service manual and a friend to help you bleed the clutch.
