legal or not, if ur gonna put cams and pistons in it, it's going to be hard to get it passed smog, maybe what he was trying to say

**EDIT** Noticed the block is 91. I believe the motor has to be younger (98+ for ur case) or it's not legal by the state standards in california at least, correct me if im wrong.

Its not legal because you need to put the same year engine in your car or newer.

Don't use the LS tranny.

many people are quoting from a california stand point. the motor going into the car must be of the same year or newer. and in california a VTEC head on a Non VTEC block wont pass bar certification.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by leesi &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote"> and i can use the transmission (but should i) what else can i use from the integra for the swap </TD></TR></TABLE>

No you can not use this transmision. it has a cable operated throw out bearing, while your car uses a hydraulic throwout bearing. you will have to use a B series transmission for a 1994 car or newer.

The GSR transmission has equally long gears as well.

the B series transmissions that have the shortest gearing in the united states, aside from that of a Integra Type R, is a 1999-2000 Civic Si transmission, or the 1994-1997 DelSol VTEC Transmission.
