Help with Clutches
I have a 96 GSR and I was wondering if anyone knew how much more holding power the Tyre R clutch has over the GSR clutch. Also how the type R clutches in comparison to say a clutchmasters stage 1 or an Exedy racing (organic) clutch??
correct me if im wrong, but i think the clutches are the same, if not, a lil bit more holding power.
IMO, just get the aftermarket clutch. WAY MORE HOLDING POWER THAN THE TYPE -R !

I had an ITR clutch on my GSR for a while, and it didnt feel any better than stock. It grabbed slightly harder, but its nothing compared to something like an ACT stage 1 even. Just go aftermarket, they are much better and last longer than OEM, for the same price.

Exedy's clutch is nice, so is the Toda (aka exedy, but slighty different it's claimed, both made by Daikan (sp?)).
If you find a ITR clutch for cheap and you're not producing a chitload of whp, I certainly can't see a reason not to get it..
My GSR clutch in my hatch lasted through 2 bottles of Nitrous, the Type R clutch in my Type R lasted through 3 bottles on Nitrous. Hope that helps
