HELP! HOW DO I TAKE OUT MY STERRING WHEEL?
Remove the screws that hold the covers on. Some of them require a star shaped tool with a long extension. Take off the airbag, then remove the single nut that holds the steering wheel on. Fairly easy as long as you have the right tools.
If you have more specific ?'s ask them.

Just disconnect it at the harness. The safest thing to do is disconnect the battery, then wait a couple minutes for the electricity to discharge before you mess around with the airbag.
