y8 tranny gets my vote or the JDM D15B with LSD, but it's only good to aroudn 140whp.

How many JDM D15B with LSD trannys have you ever seen?
Also what makes you think that this tranny or any tranny can only hold up to 140 whp?

I have a D16 turbo with the D15B LSD pushing 300whp and that is the rarest and best tranny for any D series because it only comes out of the JDM Civic VTi.

Atleast go with the SI tranny. I put one on my stock CX motor before I put jdm d15 in and it made a big difference.

How do you expect to bolt up a B series tranny to a D series block...

I would think someone pushing 300whp on a d16 would know better.

lol^^^

I say Z6 tranny or D15 LSD like mentioned before If this car is going to see a lot of heavy duty, then I would go with the LSD tranny imo.

If your looking for a tranny, my SI tranny is now available. I just got a B16 swap so I pulled the tranny out. It is out of a 93 Del Sol SI. I am looking for $100.00 picked up in Mesa, AZ, or buyer pays for shipping. Let me know.

Don't do the y8 tranny you'll regret it down the line... Stick with a 92-95 ex or si tranny. Good gearing and the stronger aluminum shift forks... The y8 forks are steel but are thin with no extra webbing. 300 whp on any stock honda d series tranny is pushing it.. My car barely makes 200whp and I've been through 3 trannies. The bearings on the ex/si tranny are larger than the cx/dx trannies as well.
