i searched and searched but only found somebody with buddy spec 4's w/ ctr pistons and it didnt answer my question...i blew my motor so im going to just take it off the road and rebuild it. i have a b16a3 in a del sol. right now i have buddy club spec 3 cams in there and im finally going to upgrade my valvetrain..has anybody ran ctr pistons w/ these cams? how were your #s? do the cams react good to the compression increase? sorry if this was covered but i couldnt find it thanks

I know some one with a R motor with CTRs and bc 4. Stock head gasket with full valvetrain. dyno 215hp to the wheels with no problems yet.. he never adjusted the gears because of fear of clearance issues. but the thing runs solid.

You bent a valve the first day with BC Stg 3? Did you adjust your valves after installing the cams?

Right now Im running a B18c block and I have the stock pistons with the BC Spec 4. You NEED to upgrade you valve springs and retainers. You are also goin to need bigger injectors. I tried running stock injectors and I got crappy numbers. Got 400cc Perstion injectors and I got 200whp. All I know is with these cams you need to run high compression. You WILL get better numbers.

buddy club 4's make power a lot higher, higher lift/duration, requires full valvetrain. i think the 3's start to run out of steam around 9

my 3+ cams peaked at 8000 rpm and then died hard.

your on the stock del sol valvetrain? with the bc3+'s, people suggest at least the itr outter/portflow inner combonation. at least thats what i ran them on, and i had no problems.

Ah ok, that sucks. O well, gives you an excuse to build a motor.
