my girlfriend just got a 2005 civic. we wanna debadge it, are the civic letters just double sided taped on? or will it leave a mark behind?

also, she wants a badgeless front grill.. i cant find anything. are there any out there?

 

Yes all the emblems use double sided tape except the H symbol.

I dont believe they make any grills for the 05 yet, but dont quote me on that.

 

the rear emblems are easy to take off, i got some fishin line and just sliced them off. i used goo gone to take off the rest of the sticky stuff left over

 

make sure you use a hairdryer to loosen up that emblem glue...

 

yea, today i was lookin at the emblems, and i barely touched the lx emblem and the l fell off... so thats nice. took the rest off obviously. i wanna take the h off too, it looks like its just double sided tape, but can anyone confirm?

 

No,no! The H has studs thru the trunk!

 

All I've found for my '04 civic is the RS grille on Ebay, or of course, the mesh grille

 

The rear H has the two little studs to help hold it on so there would be two tiny holes in the trunk lid if you took it off.
