ok here it goes mods if this isnt the right place then can you please move it thanks. well my car was broken into a while back and the dumbass thieves broke my aftermarket moonroof, well nowhere here has an aftermarket moonroof and to buy 1 new is gonna cost me at least 350,i never liked the moonroof so i was thinking if i just got a piece of sheet metal and screwed to to my roof in several places and sealed it with silicone then covered it with marglass would that hold? i saw the c/f plugs but like i said i dont want to spend butloads of money on this car its only my daily driver and its auto so thats that. i was also thinking of welding the piece of sheet metal but i dont know how to weld and im not really looking to pay anyone to do it either so anyone with help i would appritiate it thanks
your suggestion would probably hold, but would be the most ghetto thing ever.
if you don't know how to weld, and aren't willing to pay anybody to do it for you, you're pretty much up a creek.
is the glass broken?if not,put the moonroof in the closed position and leave it alone.
