Is there any way to check if my alternator is dead? I need to know if I need to buy a new one or not. Thanks!

 

i mean, is there any way besides taking it to a shop? it's a b-series alternator if that helps.

u could put the battary on another car to see if it starts up

 

to b able to tell if the alternator is dead jus take the negative wire off your battery while the car is running if the car dies then its dead ! or if u are driving and all of a sudden all your gauges and **** go all crazy and then die, your alternator is dead ! or u can jus check it at your local auto store !
