Default Amp Choice Help

Im buying my subs online from onlinecarstereo.com. they are two 15" MA Audio subs, 2000 RMS Watts a piece, Dual 2 OHM. The amp is a Visonik 2500-4000 RMS watts mono amp. I would use this amp but im not sure if I would be using too much power, or if I need a stronger amp. Does anyone have any amp choices that I could use to power this setup? Price doesnt matter

that is probably really only 1000 watts max if lightning hits it, you should be spending about a dollar per watt for real power.

unless you just want to hear a bunch of noise then I'd suggest going with a better quality sub. I mean you might spend a little more money but you'll actually hear clarity in the music. And if you do decide to run those subs, and those ratings are accurate, then you will be spending not only about $2500 in amps to power them, but you will have to upgrade your altinator, uprgrade your ground wires, run atleast 1 Oawg wire for power. It's really not worth it in the end.

RMS means Root Mean Squared but is generally know as constant power.

14.4 volts is the normal operating voltage of a vehicle while the engine is running. They supply the amp with 17 volts so they can inflate the wattage number claims. Look at only the 14.4 numbers and check what ohms they did the rating at. It it was done at 1 ohm or lower then it's an inflated number. Chances are the amp won't run for longer than maybe 20 minutes before overheating at 1 ohm.

There is no need to puch that much power into hatch. I have been looking into getting 2 10" Kicker CVR10s at 300 RMS watts in my 96 prelude(4th gen) and i was wondering what sort of amp set up i should get.

Look into autotech mean machine amps. You
cant go wrong with a mean machine.
I have an autotech mean machine mx1300 and
it puts 750rms x 4ohms. That is a beast.
One of my friends is running the mx5000 on 2
punch power 10s and they hit hard.
