i cant seem to remove the header and downpipe in my 93 h22a1 prelude. i removed all the nuts that connect the header to the engine, and ive also removed all the bolts that connect the downpipe to the cat. I cant get the the nuts that hold the header to the downpipe. Has anyone else had this problem? there seems to be a heatshield under the downpipe, and i cant get to those bolts either. also, i figured that after i removed all the bolts taht hold the header to the engine, it would slide off, but it doesnt....any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

to get the downpipe off the header, u need a really long extension for ur rachet.. i just used a bunch of small ones to make one long one. and the heat shield on the downpipe is stuck on the downpipe. it doesnt come off. so dont worry about that. once u get the header and downpipe disconnected, it should jus take a lil manuvering to get it off

 

thaks for your help, i managed to get it off.

there were 2 bolts that attach the header to the car. i used a combo of pieces like you said to get them off. then i took off the 3 nuts that attached the header to the dp.

but, i know i unscrewed 3 nuts from the header and the dp....but i only have 2. and there are only 2 bolt things that are attached to the header, and one hole with nothing. what is supposed to go here?
