Default How to pull a head (twice) in o'town....

Well it was a fun weekend up at Marc's (RealTypeR) working on his car. There were a few little problems here and there, but not to bad. The head gasket got installed wrong and we sprung a little leak (leaked oil, fuel, and coolent). Here are some of the pictures from the weekend... Sorry for the bluryness. In our drunken stupper, we seemed to have gotten some oil on the lens... doh

This is what Jason (Typer98) and I found when we got there

Matt (D) getting his che together and focusing for the final bolts to be tightened

Connecting up the last of the wires and gas cable

Dinner

Forman Dave

Somebody getting off with a beer bottle which Matt seems to enjoy

Damn wrench was stuck, so Matt had a bright idea...

Fired is up and had a little oil leak

It was a small one

How to clean up oil, grab a shovel and head to the back yard

Marc now has a nice little stain

Dave and Matt had a little bit to smoke while trying to figure out what went wrong

Taking the head off again, see the oil all over the tranny

Jasons for the weekend

Daves for the weekend

Don't ask, we didn't...

Giving the R a little to loosen her up

Forman Dave again, making sure all goes well

Diagnostic Jumper We-Todd-Did style

All turned out well, car runs great. Had the head pulled in 50 min, which is a new record for the We-Todd-Did Racing Crew.

Those are the greatest, most technical pics I've seen in a LONG time. Well done, gentlemen!

Jason- who wonders if they reused the headgasket

Yea, we have a nother head removal planed soon. We reused the head gasket which was put on wrong. Also we reused the head bolts. Marc is going to take it easy and get some new parts so we can replace them. Everything seems to be working fine and there are no leaks...

We tried to be as techinal as possible, but we only seemed to have the camera when we weren't working on the car. Next time we'll try to get some better ones, if we can find a designated photographer that is willing not to drink

Hahaha awesome--I love the "diagnostic jumper." D, you should put that under "electrical equipment" on S&M.

if you really pick those photos apart...there is alot going on. "slow" children at play. working on the car and doing your laundry at the same time. beer and no caff soda..how about a long nap. you know that phone is there to make booty calls from old *** phone books that you've had since high school after you've had all those beers. check out the dog under the windshield wiper. what did you actually use that wood glue for thats on the drier? nice mixture of oil and anti freeze.

Marc (RealTypeR) chipped a valve during a drag race due to the conductor on the sparkplug breaking off.. oh yeah, that might have happened due to the nitrous oxide being sprayed into the intake...

In more ways than one

working on the car and doing your laundry at the same time.
Party across the street, had to be "so fresh and so clean clean"

beer and no caff soda.
x 300

you know that phone is there to make booty calls from old *** phone books that you've had since high school after you've had all those beers.
LOL no comment.

check out the dog under the windshield wiper.
That's a Cow Jeff.

what did you actually use that wood glue for thats on the drier?
Well, we kinda ran out of hondabond.....................................

nice mixture of oil and anti freeze.
Since it's Florida we went for a 10% anti-freeze 90% oil mix.................

yeah, there were no pics of my girl crystal doing my laundry and of SKIRT (jason) watching lifetime movies all day with her.
1) I have no kids
2) there's a dart board for darts
3) the phone never rings, they call my cell phone
4) there were many more beer caps than that
5) that's a cow, not a cat
6) Marijane had a wrench up her ***
7) Jason fell asleep first
8) my neighbors throw sausage parties
9) the wood glue was for putting back together a magnet that fell apart
10) we could have had more but FL stops selling at 2 am
