Default Ls-V or B20-V in a 4dr teggy?

i just got a 94 4dr teg and was wondering what kinda swap was better. i heard that the b20-vtec is better then the ls-vtec but also heard the ls-vtec is good also. so give me some feedback on which motor is better for my car.

are you building a daily driver? or just a drag car, and what kind of mods are you looking to do? just stock parts or putting alot of money into it

true, i would go with a b16 block and get a 2.0L stroker kit cuz b20 sleves are weak

But those B16A sleeves are not exactly going to hold up well with the kind of side loading that stroking is going to impose on them.

No, they didn't have VTAK! And they had a really low compression ratio.

To give input to the original question, I think you'd be happier with CR/VTEC. Overall it will probably cost a little more (LS blocks are almost always cheaper) however, more displacement is always a better way to go. If you're going to keep the stock bottom end don't plan on reving much past 8K RPMs if you want to have a reliable daily driver.
