What should I offer him?

He said, there is a thread for the bolt that holds the valve cover down that is stripped and the vtec green plug is broken (I have a spare).

 

PS its a d16z6 head. right?

 

That head looks really similar to one me and a friend pulled off a y8. I wouldn't use it unless you plan on cleaning it and doing a complete rebuild. Or cleaning it at the very least.

 

Looks like a d16z6 head just looking at it. They don't go for to much. I'd get it cleaned, new valve seals and get it machined for sure

 

looks pretty groddy, with all that damage i wouldn't say any more than 50 bucks

 

The little green plug (oil pressure switch) on the vtec solenoid that’s smashed will run you $60-80 from the Honda dealer, or $25-50 from eBay (Just something to keep in mind).

Also, you should take it to a shop to check for bent valves, get new cam seals, and maybe even mill it a little bit to make sure it’s nice and straight.
