Default JUN STROKER MOTOR ISSUSES

I have a Jun Type R stroker motor in my car. My problem is that the last counterweight on the number 4 cylinder broke. So I have a broken Crank. I need a new one. Where can I go to get one? I talked to Jun Japan and they told me that they can not sell the crank alone. i need to buy the entire kit. which sucks cuz it is $3600.

I also need a new clutch disc if anyone has one of those. I was useing the Jun 3 puck, and I would like to get another.

Thanks.

Get in touch with crower or golden eagle, you will probably have to ship them your crank but they should be able to help

Gotta love that Jun customer service
Like someone else said, Crower or Eagle should be able to hook you up with a replacement crank; it won't cost $3600 either

94 mm crank. that's gonna be custom. still, less then 3600.

whats your r/s ratio???

no deckplate or anything, means low r/s ratio.

hmmmz. were does the engine peak?

i meant where does the power/torque peaks. taking a 89mm crank in combination with a long rod and custom piston can give you good r/s ratio. but with 94 mm you don't have much room to play with. top of line with 95 mm champs mostly run deckplates to run good r/s ratio. that's why i was curious about your engine character.

If I am understanding you correctly. peak horsepower is at 8750prm (209). and peak torque is at 6500(185). Redline is 9250RPM.

I am WD at Crower and have used them for custom rods and stuff. Very how quality machine work comes out of Crower.

They can make a pretty mean Billet crank.

Yeah, but can't they just do an offset grind on a 95mm forged core, that would be a lot cheaper than a billet crank i think. As he's using a 94mm stroke I'm sure Crower could make him a replacement. And I must say, the quality of the forged Crower cranks are very good, I have a 92mm myself, got it from Rocket.

I dont know. I bought this car from a friend. I have been into watching cars, and being a wrench bitch on 4 DSM motor swaps, but this is the first honda motor that I have pulled. So, I dont know much, but the guy that I was a wrench bitch for is the best at working on DSM's in Iowa. So, any questions that you have that I dont know I will ask him. I just need to know what to ask.

This is the first time that the motor has been taken outta this car since it was put in two years ago. It was installed by jun USA in Cali. I was told that it was a stage 4. That would make it a 2.0, but I dont know if it is for sure. I would ask the person that bought the motor, but he is currenttly unreachable for the next 2-4years. So you can see how is just gets to be a larger pain in the *** with each moment.

thanks for everyone that is trying to help.

Well, I found out today at the machine shop that the Crank journal is fucked. If it machined it will mess with the center line of the crank too much. So, I have a few options, I can buy a new B16B block (and a crank for a stroker Motor(Crower)) the Rods and pistons are ok and then I can throw the head on the new block and use the old tranny and drive it until the motor takes a **** again...

Or I can just throw the block away and sell the Full Jun Race head w/ cams and sell the rods and pistons. Then sell the tranny since that is ok. Sell the suspension and everything outta it and just put it back to stock and trade it in on a SUV.

What do you guys think. Everything on the car can be sold except the block. Everything is fine.
