HELP removing climate control

1995 civic ex. I'm putting in LEDs and I need some advice on how to take the climate control out. I've taken out the three necessary screws and now I'm to the near impossible plugs (2). How am I supposed to detach these???

Instead of fiddling with the plugs that go into the climate control, disconnect it from the main harness. The plug should be behind the metal dash bracket.

Bauley's writeup is nice, but it was a pain in the *** to remove the plugs. I just disconnected the subharness. WAY WAY EASIER.
