New Paint Job Question.
Alright I just got my paintjob done about 3 days ago and was wondering when I would be able to wash it down. Also can anyone suggest any type of car wash liquid that safe for new paint? I got the paintjob while I was on vacation in Toronto so I wasn't able to ask him all the questions I needed too I was in a damn rush.

*use only water and only water...to clean the dirt and wipe it clean
*do not put any chemicals on the paint for 2-2.5 weeks
*also put it in an area where the sun's light is ample to let the paint/clear coat to harden

Why don't you contact the person or shop? ''Bodyshop safe'' soap can be used, you would have to call a paint supply store for it though. If it was cured properly after the application you should have no problems as long as you are delicate. Just use water and dry it afterwards with a clean shammy. Assuming they used a catalyst type urethane paint.

I was told that he put clear coat on it for me and baked it as well. My uncle took me to this shop in a rush and I never really got a chance for the name or anything. I'll probably call him up tonight and ask for the number.

I took autobody in college... you can wash the **** out of it... don't use hard bristles(duh) and don't wax it, those old wives tales about what to do and what not to do make me laugh... after 24 hrs. room temp baked or not once the paint is dry it's dry.
