Well what kind of switches are on the car? Do they look like factory or do they look like after market stuff? I have JDM power windows on my 90 hatch and i have all the JDM switches and wireing.

i had a 89' dx with electric windows donated from a 91' civic sedan LX probably the same swap. you may need to track down where the relay is and go from there. as far as the swiches looking stock. all they did was cut a hole in the factory door panel. good luck.

power window motors are simply reverse polarity motors. You put 12v+ on pin 1, and a ground on pin 2. they go down.. put 12v+ on pin 2 and ground on pin 1.. they go up
So you need DPDT switches (power window switches) and relays to accomidate them so you aren't putting all that power through the switch.

Read all about it on http://www.the12volt.com

With electrical you have to understand what you're doing, you can't just "follow the directions".
(well you can, but its not smart and you'll prolly light your car on fire LOL fuses are your friend)

Oh and power windows out of another car that came stock, are not aftermarket, aftermarket are those crap PAL power window kits that are supposed to fit every car and just suck my left testie. Good thing you don't have those. Good old 4dr power window regulators are excellent. If you find out the motor is bad, just get a new one at the junkyard for $5 it's great.
