I have a light blue 1989 HF if that helps. I don't think it was offered in all years and all makes.

cool, I was thinking, i only remember seeing HF's in white and blue. I hope its an HF. I have a brand new rebuilt engine for an HF in the garage.

also was Automatic and option for HF? or did they only come in Manual?

Just look at the engine. If it says DPFI its a DX, if its mpfi its a HF. The SI never came in light blue.

Hey, sorry to take the thread for a second, but what IS the HF model and how does it compare to the hatches?

DX
Si
HX
am I missing any?
EX & LX are 4door only, correct?

A HF was sold in the US only and was the most base model made. It was like a DX model but was slightly lighter with smaller drivetrane, a 62hp mpfi 8 or 12 valve engine that was good for some crazy mileage. There were no options in the car like sunroof, sway bars, clock, rear wiper, or passenger mirror.
