Default D series motor mount problem

On the pass side, the top mount that bolts to the transmission is broke. The single bolt that connects down throught the middle of the 2 plates has the threads stripped out in the hole. From what I can see this has played hell on the front and rear torque mounts also.

Where can I get some cheap? Local salvage yard does not have any d series.

Could I possibly take this apart and fix it. I.E. run a bolt all the way through it and crank nuts down on each end to sandwich it all back together?

The play on that side I believe is leading to abnormal cv/axel wear. You can feal slack in the drive line by twisting on it, or if you push on the car while it is sitting still and in gear it will roll a noticable amount back and forth.

What do I do?

If any of the holes in the transmission are stripped, tap those suckers. If it is just the plate and the mount, pick one up from a local salvage yard. I may have one lying around but I doubt it.

It is just the plate. The 3 bolts that go into the tranny are all good.

My local salvage yards are fresh out

If you are in a bind, it's just over $43 new.
