Default si tranny question

just wanted to know if all 88-91 si trannys are the same... also will i need to do any modifying to mate it to a Z6 block? thanks a lot

no, it is d series , that meand=s it figtiidssssssss on d--- series enginds, d15b2 d16a6 di6z6 d15bvtecs and excetorahhhhhhhhh hahahaha your welcome dickcheezimus maximus.

and 88 has different input shaft spline otherwise the rest are the same

hey sorry to highjack but do any of you guys know if the 88 si tranny uses 40 mm bearings?? need to know if the obx lsd will fit.

yeah i have at least 2 friends coming over to help but i thought that it wouldnt hurt to have another knowledgable person there to help us out... thanks anyways for the help... oh and not a problem with the thread jacking... never really bothers me... as long as someones getting help... thats what forums are for

ok heres another tranny question... if i get a 92-95 tranny are they all hydro? if so then ill be looking strictly for 88-91's b/c theyre easier to swap in and cheaper too... lmk if they all are and if so is there any easy way to get around the hasport conversion kit... and will my '91 axels work with that tranny? thanks for the help guys

alright i think i found an si tranny for only $150!! woot-woot... lol anyways i need to know if there are any big differences between '89 si trannies and '90-'91 si trannies... i know the '88 has a different spline count but will i still be able to use my axles, starter, and flywheel with the '89? thanks

no difference at all just make sure if u have a 90 up flywheel u use the 90 up clutch b/c the 89 has a 200mm surface and the 90 up has a 212mm surface
