Need help getting crank pulley bolt off....

Default Need help getting crank pulley bolt off....

Block is sitting on the ground....what is the best way to lock the pulley so I can hopefully bust off the bolt?

since the block is already out...just take it to the nearest gas station or shop and have them shoot on the impact wrench...

use a screw driver and lock the flywheel through the starter area. that should keep the crank from spinning. then just use your brute force to get the bolt off.

**shouldn't take that much effort.**

get a flywheel and bolt it up with at least 2 bolts. then hold a screwdriver to the teeth of the flywheel and the webing of the bolck. have a friend take out the bolt.

Theres always the crank pulley removal tool, but then again it would cost money to buy one

last tiem we had this problem with the block out we wedged a ratchet in the crank. hahaha....... probably not the best idea or a remotely decent one at that... but it got the job done

Leaving the sparkplugs in help too, assuming you have decent compression, because it keeps the crank from turning as fast

I had to use an impact, but a crank pulley tool would be nice.
