Can you "truly" tune an engine with the Greddy air/fuel gauge?
For $300 I can get the Greddy air/fuel gauge (with o2 sensor). Now, can I tune my engine just like if it were on a dyno? Say a friend drives and I record the air/fuel readings for every 1000 RPMS. We can ajust the fuel when necessary. What are your guys feelings?
I wouldn't recommend it. I would only use the Greddy to get the rough idea on the A/F ratio, but not use for fine tuen for sure.
Or find a dyno with a wideband. That's the easiest way.
A/F gauges suck, IMO.
If you really want, get an exhaust temp gauge, but make sure you know how to read it.

It will come close enough, Go for it. I recall reading somewhere that it is a wideband 02.
For those that argue that you cant get it close is wrong.
