Default need some help with cd player

Ok i just did an engine swap and when i took the engine out everything worked find on my cd player. Now i put the new engine in and now my deck wont turn on. There is power going to the deck but for some reason it doesnt have ne power. I tried plugging my freinds brand new deck in and that didnt work either. I have no idea what it could be to cause there to be no power. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. I checked fuses and everything. I tested after the plugs and there was power to everything but still nothing. thanks in advance

Check the 7.5 fuse under the hood.

yeah but there is power to the wires. Wouldnt there be no power there if that fuse was bad?

Is there power to the wires going into the cd player? The 7.5 under the hood is important to the radio even if the fuse under the dash is still good.

Check your ground and your accesory wire too. You need power to the battery wire and accesory wire. Use a DMM and see what you come up with. Take the negative leed on the dmm and touch it to the ground wire. Then take the positive leed to each of the power wires and see what you get.

well what im going to do is run a ground from a seat bolt to the deck and see if it works then and that will eliminate the bad ground assumption and if not then run a wire right form the battey to the red and yellow one and see if it powers up. If it does then its a problem with those power wires but if it doesnt then i dk. Ill be stumped after that.
