Default ****Philips 6000K 9006 low-beams install pics***** Update

Here they are, I have many more coming in the next few days...too bad we only get like 10 hours of night.
Here is the ballast, simple install...notice that that area of my engine bay is empty

Here, there are two sets of wires, the one with the wire loom connects to the factory wire harness. I had to hack the OEM socket off, and solder the HID wire harness on. The other wire goes to the bulbs....simple

Here is the mounting location on the passenger side. Its held up with a zip tie

This is a closeup pic from inside the garage during the middle of the day....you can see my feet in the pic...

Here's another angle shot

Now I bet everyone will ask me, where are the night time pics, well, they will come. I promise, just gotta wait for my buddy to come over at night with the digicam

I can see 'em all now, thanx.

So all you did was fasten the HID kit with zip locks? Where exactly is that, I couldn't really tell from the pic.

On the driver side, like 1st 2 pics, I used the velcro to secure it onto the frame of the car, on the passenger side I used a zip tie.

Looks good. Toda, how long does it take your 6000K's to fully warm up to normal brightness? Mine seem to warm up fully within 5-8 seconds. Not sure if that was normal, because the HID's on my Audi take longer to warm up.

Yeah it takes like 5-8 seconds for it to fully warm up...

So would you say its worth it? I was thinking last night, drivingg in the dark and rain, how nice some HIDs would be. Im probably gonna order a 6000k Philips kit this week, is it worth it to get 6000k over the 4300k?

If you want the best lighting performance and dont care about looks, go for the 4300K kit, you'd save a lot more money. If you're like me and must have lighting performance and looks, get the 6000K kit....you wont regret it. With the 6000K kit there is some tradeoff since the lumen rating is a little bit less, but the beam and look of the HID is much like the German BMW/Benz HID's

I might caution you about the location of the passenger side balast. That ABS module vibrates really violently when the ABS is activated.

I never knew it would vibrate like that, but my plan is to mount it underneath the ABS unit on the frame of the car just like I did it on the driver side...I'd have to use the velcro though....thanks for pointing it out

So the 4300k actually have more light output? So the difference is only in light color? Do the 4300ks still have incredible light output? I dont car about how it looks from outside, i just want LOTS or light driving on dark backroads.

The 4300k puts out more light but not by much. Any body here have the lumens?

i think 4300k is better at raining days !
coz for me it seems like my 6000k isnt working at wet ground maybe coz it's too white and purple. but 4300k is more yellow whick works a lot beter at wet ground. white doesnt reflex that will than yellow but when 6000k lights hit the street signs that's a whole different story !! it reflex a lot better thatn 4300k

I hope you used those Industrial Strength veclros.....they definitely stick way better than the conventional velcros.

What I really wanted was an HID kit that's purple like the S2000's. They just look so damn cool.
Second choice would be the BMW/Audi's blueish HID's.

Oh, and good thing I don't have ABS. I have lots of room to place the box in. lol

Yep, I used the Velcros that came with the kit so I should be safe.

Yeah, the HID's are awesome, if you saw it on my car you'd be pleased.

TODA RACING:
Did you get these HIDs from the group buy you posted about? I was wondering about the quality of that particular buy.
