Default 2005 Accord EX V-6 twin turbo

I will start by saying I have been heavy into modifying corvettes and camaros for many years. I am a Lexus/Toyota Master Tech. I recently purchased a 2005 Honda Accord EX V-6 with the 6-speed manual. I love the car, but it lacks power. My goal is 450 whp. Does anyone know of a turbo set up available for the V-6? Parts I am looking for are a lightened flywheel, clutch, Turbo kit, Camshafts, Intake, Injectors, Throttle body, Intercooler. I can find most of these for the 4cyl Honda's but seems no one makes performance for the V-6. Is that motor worth doing this stuff too, and what kind of power would be expected? I have the knowledge to install these parts and make it run, just looking to see if anyone knows if this has been done to the new Accords yet and where parts like this might be found? Any other suggestions for performance parts for it? I want a Accord that looks stock, but beats Vipers. No show and all go. Thanks for any help.

You will probably have to go with a supercharger + nitrous. As far as I know, the exhaust manifold is part of the head making any sort of aftermarket exhaust manifold very difficult if not impossible. Unless the turbo is further down the exhaust system like a couple other cars Ive seen with the tubo down by the muffler.

no, he was asking if there were ready-made kits available for the v6. he is used to cars that have kits readily available and ready to assemble. he's just going to have to build his own stuff this time, simple as that.

no harm, no fowl, man. some of these guys just aren't used to a modified v8 powered car. since that's what you're used to playing with, you're going to expect more. the guys over in the welding/fabrication forum and on the forced induction forurms here on honda-tech are knowledgable in this area, though.

the stock vtec camshaft is awesome as it is. leave it in there and it will automatically adjust the valve timing.

To date I only know of one 7th gen turbo but he has since disappeared. He was only running on single turbo though becuase of lack of room int he engine bay.

I would suggest you go visit http://www.v6p.net for more info on your car. I am a member there as well and that site is dedicated mostly to Honda Accoord V6's or all gens including the Acura lineup. No one has raelly toyed with a turbo setup yet because the previous gens were only autos and they were too weak to handle any kind of power.

The site is currently R&D a turbo kit for the 6th gen which should be adaptable to the 7th gen in a way. The header on the 7th gens are made ontot he head so making it work will be kinda hard. Nonetheless it has been done already.

http://www.Acurazine.com also has some turbo Acura CL's pushing out insane HP on low boost but those are different engines but yet very similiar.

If you want bigger power you can build a 3.5 block from the oddyssey(sp?) or the Pilot. One is done over at v6p.net with CL-S heads. The possibilities are endless with the v6 series, its just a matter of money and everything costs so much more for the v6's.

Since you are familiar with Camaro's and Vett' sim sure you heard os STS already. V6p.net was trying to work with STS on a remote kit but I dont know what happened. V6p is now pursueing a turbo kit that is under wraps stillso only time will tell.

Hope I helped in anyway.

wow....everyone is so quick to talk **** on this website its amazing, even if hes not what he says he is, why dont you try to pointing him in the right direction instead of calling B/S. but to the post, i think your only way to go is custom or like kris said, supercharger with nitrous, but be prepared for a hefty price tag

LOL Most manufacturers dealer tech training usually doesn't go into aftermarket performance parts and tuning. I know Hondas doesn't.
