Im planning on installing my coilover set up soon. I was wondering, Do I have to use a spring compressor to take off my stock struts off? Or is it just a un bolt prosses? THANKS!!!
If your new coil-overs are complete shock/spring/upper-mount units, you will just un-bolt & replace the old ones. If you need any of the parts off of your existing shocks (usually the upper mounts), you will need a spring compressor to dissasemble the shock/spring unit once you've removed it from the car. I would ask us again once you know which coil-overs your going to be purchasing...
Good luck...

I want to go with the omni power coilovers for EK civic. I was also thinking TEIN but there are some sites that offer package deals, like PASSWORDJDM.
The omni power coil-over shocks don't use any parts from your old shocks. I'm not too sure about the Tein stuff, but I think it doesn't either...

so in other words its just a swap over prosses? No old parts used? THANKS! So I wouldn't need the spring compressor?
