A little help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi all,
Im new to this forum - but definately not new to owning Hondas!
So far I have been through
93 Civic 1.6 VTi
92 CRX Del Sol 1.6 Vti
91 Prelude 2.3i 4ws
My current car is:
96 Prelude, 2.0i - (It has the fact that its a manual going for it though!)
This is a temp car until i can afford a good condition, low mileage 2.2Si VTEC.
Now, I know this the WRONG prelude to go for, but it was a matter of Money > Speed (for once!!!)
As we all know, Honda's are INCREDIBLY reliable, sound, drive and can look superb!
However, after my most recent purchase back in January this year, I've had nothing but problems!!!
I bought the car with 63k on the clock, full Honda dealer Service.
I won't bore you all with the vast list of crap I have had to fork out on since I bought it, but get to the point, finally.
I struggle to explain what it is I am having problems with. The steering just feels, errr, weird. A quarter turn to the left doesnt turn the car as much as a quarter turn to the right for example. It feels loose, and like Im almost loosing control of it.
Next problem...
I break, and it pulls to the left (Pretty basic stuff I know, but Im going somewhere with this!). Today, I noticed that in rush hour traffic, after what can only be described as LIGHT breaking, I felt that oh so annoying pulsing on the ABS, along with the sound of the front left ABS motor noise with some pretty loud ticking!!! Now, I was only slightly touching the breaks when the ABS kicked in, moving in 2mph traffic!
A few minutes later, same problem. Louder motor noise, louder ticking, very short pulse from the ABS under my foot... No ABS warning light.
The car doesnt feel safe to drive any more, yet im a bit short of cash for a full honda service.
If anyone could give an idea on what they think the problem could be, or have experienced a similar problem, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help!
